I work in IT. Recently Bertha, my personal end user nightmare (names have been changed to protect me) called me with an issue.

Bertha: I need help! I got a big problem!
Me: OK. What is the issue?
Bertha: I can't send this email, the email is broken.
Me: Why do you think it's broken? What is it not doing?
Bertha: The send button is grey and I can't click it.
Me: Humm that is odd. Let me take a look at it.
Bertha: I just hate that nothing works.
Me: OK, here it is. There is no one in the "to" field.
Bertha: I know, but the SEND BUTTON (doing the head bobbing thing) isn't light up. I need to send it.
Me: But you have to have an address in the "to" block
Bertha: That doesn't matter if I can't send it!
Me: OK. Look if i enter my e-mail address in the "to" field the send button becomes enabled, see?
Bertha: I don't need to send YOU an email, you are right here.
Me: I was using that as an example. Look if I take my name out, it becomes disabled.
Bertha: SEE!!! It's broken!
Me: (pounding head on my desk)
